Virtual Factory Tour: Inspect Us From Home

You do not need a visa, a flight or three days of your life to see the factory that will make your next container. You need a thirty-minute call and a list of things to look at.

A virtual factory tour is a live, unscripted walk through the plant on video — not a brand film. The difference matters: a film shows you what the marketing team chose, a live call shows you what is actually on the floor at 3 p.m. on a Tuesday.

Here is the list we suggest you bring to any supplier, including us.

Ask them to start at the gate, with the phone in hand and no cuts. Ask for the mould shop and the tool room — a trading company cannot improvise that. Ask them to walk to the injection machines and read the nameplate off the closest one: tonnage, brand, year. Count the machines while the camera moves. Ask for the assembly line, then pick a unit at random and read its label aloud. Ask to see the QC bench for noise, temperature and leak testing. Finish at the loading dock.

Then ask a question only a builder can answer: why is the gear on this model POM and not PA? What is the failure rate on this test? Watch whether the answer comes fast or gets forwarded to “the engineer”.

Four things should end the call: a pre-recorded video instead of a live walk, a refusal to show one specific area, the sentence “that is our other factory”, and a workshop with no sound.

We host these tours in a thirty-minute slot, at whatever hour suits your time zone, and we walk where you point the camera. If something is not ready or not clean, you will see it — that is the point.
